SUCCESS!!!
"Whatever you do, do well...The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle." Proverbs 16:23-24
Well, my inspection passed with flying colors- no violations!!! Hooray and Thanks for the Prayers! It was interesting, there was one regulation that I don't follow and I was honest. When changing diapers you are supposed to discinfect with bleach each and every time you do it. I use cloth changing pads I wash regularly and told her this. Because the house was clean, and my paperwork was thorough, she basically told me she'd overlook it. I believe that had I taken an offensive attitude, she would have NEVER overlooked it, but I was pleasant and welcoming and it made a difference! You know, after answering her questions completely, she didn't even physically check a few things, just took my word for it. It was the most pleasant inspection I've had. Don't get me wrong, she was thorough- she just felt comfortable with my answers and didn't feel that she needed to check everything physically.
So thanks be to the Lord that everything went so well. And thanks to all of you for your uplifting words and prayers! Have a great weekend :)

Congratulations Elizabeth...Let out your great big SIGH...Ahhhh! I am so glad you are so successful at your daycare business...you have always had such a special nack for taking care of kiddos!
Congrats, Elizabeth!!! I knew you could do it! I had to laugh about disinfecting with bleach, though, 'cause I have never used a changing table. I just use the floor, bed, couch, etc. Kinda hard to disinfect those things w/bleach! :D
Congratulations on passing your inspection! You must be so relieved to have that over with. And I've certainly never used bleach to clean anything after changing a diaper!
SEE?!?!?! TOLD YA!
...great job!
Elizabeth,
CONGRATS on getting through the inspection! I was also sure you would do well! I'm sure you're very relieved to have that done and over with for awhile!
We have regular inspections, too, both federal and state. We're always "scrambling" to make sure everything is just right so that we don't have to deal with correcting any violations. We've had some really nice inspectors and some not-so-nice inspectors. So we know a little of the anxiety you felt.
Thanks for all the congratulations! I feel like I won the lottery :) I am glad that it is done and over with, and I am glad that this was a good inspection. It truly does depend on the inspector, and the type of day they have had thus far. I was the first visit of the am, and she was nice the last time I met her, so it really worked out well. I still get other NYS inspections every couple of months- but this was the big one! Thanks again for all of the prayers and encouragement!
