Lots To Do, So Little Time

Well, the Christmas decorations and Christmas Tree are gone, but the house looks surprizingly nice. I thought it would look naked and forlorn after all the sparkle and beauty of the decorations, but instead it looks clean and more spacious (especially the living room which was so packed, there wasn't a lot of walking room) I kept the white lights up outside, because I always keep them up through January. I don't believe white lights are "Christmassy" and they look beautiful against the white glitter of snow (which we haven't had a whole lot of this year so far, so hopefully it will at least snow once or twice before I take the lights down.
I am now starting to work on Rebecca's Baby Shower details and invitations. I went to AC Moore and bought supplies and I've bought a few things so far for games and such. I've already spent more than I planned but hopefully with a little help from some friends in the food department, and a little help from my mom in other departments it will be a shower for Rebecca to remember with fond memories (her first shower took place a week after I lost my daughter Grace and few people could attend her shower, so even though she had fun, a tiny dark cloud loomed)
I'm also working on a few other projects as well (not including just trying to catch up on my housework and daycare paperwork) I'm also soon going to have to start getting my receipts in order for tax time since it takes me forever to do that!
Just call me busy beaver :)

What no HINTS?!?! Please don't go crazy on my shower. It doesn't have to be expensive to be wonderful! I know how much of a burden it can be financially-even for the 'little' stuff.

Tax time again?!?! You have a new dependent this year! Matt and I were laying in bed and I said-HEY! If Peanut comes early like Corynn did, we'll be able to claim him/her and the wee one will be bringing money out of the womb for us! He said-"Yeah! Let's pray you get preecclampsia again so we can claim another dependent!" (sarcastically, of course!) I wonder if they will count an in-utero baby?!? Little Peanut IS dependent on me! :-)

I'm not trying to spend money, I just keep thinking of these fun ideas, and most fun ideas have minimal expense. You know how quickly minimal expense adds up. I'm just counting on people helping out in the food dept. That will help immensely!
As for taxes, having another deduction may help us to get some $ back, but it doesn't help my tally of all the years receipts, utilities, and expenses :P Doing that takes FOREVER!

Rebecca,

You won't be able to claim Peanut until next year's rax season. Tax season runs from December to December. We just pay our taxes by April.
